We are expanding our caviar selection again!

We are proud to have one of the largest caviar selections in UK/Europe.

We are constantly looking for new products to add to our ever expanding caviar selection.

When we started 6 years ago we had 3 types of caviar. Every year we like to add 1-2 new new products to show that we are growing with demands.

We have had many requests for a more economic caviar that can be used for large events or just to top off canape’s and fish-dishes. We have now added to “Classic” types of caviar. One is the Baerii and the other is an Oscietra. Much cheaper and perfect for large scale events or when your just looking for a more basic caviar. The price reflects this.

We will also be adding a “classic Beluga” In October. This will be about 30% cheaper than the Royal Beluga.  This will bring our selection of “Real” Sturgeon Caviar’s up to 12 types.

Caviar Classic London is now available on 6 Amazon Marketplaces.

We often get requests from customers asking if we can deliver to them in their home country, or while they are on holiday. Generally we have kept to Europe and lately also Australia.

We have been working with Amazon for nearly 5 years and expanded our caviar selection whenever possible to new marketplaces.

Last year we expanded our selection to Germany, France, Italy & Spain. And these marketplaces have grown from 8-10 products to between 50-80 products on each site.

In the last few weeks we have been working on offering our caviar to the U.S market. We launched our first products yesterday and we will expand our caviar selection as we go along. Right now we have 5 types of caviar on offer on Amazon.com. Over the coming weeks we will expand that to about 40 products, ranging from caviar type to include duo’s, trio’s and quartet’s. These have proven popular as gift ideas and also if you can’t quite choose which one is your favorite these can be bought in smaller tins so you can taste several without having to spend a small fortune. Our trio’s and quartet’s will be offered in 10/30/50 gr sizes, where the individual caviar’s will be offered in 30/50/125/250 gr sizes and duo’s in 30/50/125/250 gr sizes. This is all to do with cost, and we will also offer discounted delivery charges. In some cases FREE delivery to our U.S customers.

We have noticed that Amazon state that standard delivery is between 10-20 days. We promise it will never be more than 3-4 days, with express delivery option of 2 days.

In Europe we can offer next day delivery Tuesday-Friday, if ordered before 12.00 the day before. Due to time difference in the U.S all orders placed before 6.00 in the morning Eastern standard time will be shipped same/next day.

We hope our new U.S customers will give us a try and get to love our quality caviar as much as we do, and as we grow our selection we will simplify the delivery options.

Happy Birthday to us!

Well, it’s not quite a milestone. It’s actually only 6,5 years. But it feels like a lifetime.

But here we are, still going strong and growing every year. Why we are celebrating 6,5 years? Well, in December, where our birthday actually is, we don’t have time to celebrate properly. And it’s right on the tail of Black Friday and Cyber Monday. People are generally shopped out. So we decided to move it to the summer where we have more time to give some great deals to our loyal and (hopefully) new customers.

It’s especially thanks to our regular customers that we are still here. Without them we would not exist today. And I believe in ensuring that they get a first class treatment every time they get in touch. But also ensuring that every new customer is treated like a potential return customer.

What is real caviar?

It seems that every single egg or row that comes from a fish is called Caviar.

But it’s the same as calling every kind of bubbly liquid in a bottle for Champagne. Champagne can only be from the Champagne region in France.  Real Caviar is from the Sturgeon family, also known as the Acipenseridae family. And preferably fresh , not pasteurised. Many other types of fish roe get pasteurised to give them a longer shelf-life. Fresh Caviar will normally have 3-4 month’s shelf-life, other types of roe will have up to 6 months.

Another way to distinguish a real caviar is the obligatory CITES (the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) number that should accompany every tin/jar of caviar. I dare say that nearly all legal caviar is farmed and that to ensure that all  production and sale of Caviar is both legal and genuine importers are required to ensure that a CITES import number is on every container.

Therefore when you buy caviar then check the shelf-life and that it has a CITES number on the bottom of the tin/jar.

We are maybe not the biggest caviar company in the UK. Nor are we the oldest. But we pride ourselves in having one of the biggest selections of real caviar in the UK and that “It does what it says on the tin”, so to speak. In this case, bigger isn’t always better, often it just means that it’s probably more expensive. We have 8 types of real caviar on offer, from Beaerii to Beluga, but we actually have 11 on offer thru the year.

New exciting caviar. The Siberian Oscietra Hybrid Caviar.

We believe that we have a good/wide selection of Sturgeon Caviar. From the Classic Baerii to the Royal Beluga.

The Asetra/Oscietra Caviar, also known as the Russian Sturgeon has been one of the most popular Caviar’s on the market for many years. It is just as well known as the Beluga, but always about 1/3 of the price. This is changing as demand for the Asetra/Oscietra Caviar grows, so does the price.

So it is always a pleasure to introduce a cheaper alternative that lies very close to the Asetra/Oscietra. This is because this Caviar is part Oscietra. The Siberian Oscietra Hybrid Caviar. Smotth, creamy, half Baerii/Half Oscietra, but very close to the Oscietra in taste, appearance and size. That it is somewhat cheaper doesn’t hurt.
